The Academy · Simulations
Take the seat. Make the call.
Three negotiation simulations built on the real mechanics of climate law: an Article 6 deal, a deadlocked paragraph in the transparency talks, and a carbon-pricing bill in cabinet. Choose, watch the consequences, then read the debrief.

The authorisation letter
Your seatLead negotiator for Norvania, a host country selling mitigation outcomes under Article 6.2
A partner government wants to buy the reductions from your new solar programme. Every tonne you authorise must be added back to your own emissions balance. Fund the programme without leaving your NDC short.

It is 22:00 the night before the closing plenary. One paragraph on reporting by developing countries is still in brackets, and the text is due at 10:00. Find language that the room can adopt and that still means something.

About the simulations
The countries, delegations and people in these simulations are fictional. The rules they negotiate are real: authorisation and corresponding adjustments under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement, the flexibility provisions of the enhanced transparency framework, and the design choices of carbon-pricing laws.
There is no single right path. Each ending explains the trade-offs behind it, so that a second attempt teaches as much as the first. Simulations you complete are recorded in your learner account.
